Judy Kingston Story Published in Wine Enthusiast

I don’t pitch print articles very often, but after I visited Judy Kingston at her Serendipity Winery last August, I was so moved by her story I had to put it out there.

To my delight, Wine Enthusiast, caught my pitch and offered to run the piece on their end page, Last Drop.

My article, Growing More Than Grapes In The Vineyard: How working in wine saved Judy Kingston’s life, appeared in the December 2014 issue, and turned out beautifully.

Judy Kingston’s life changed in 1993, the morning her car slid on black ice on a Toronto highway and slammed into a fire truck. She woke from a coma with temporary amnesia, unable to remember the details of her life. Her head injury was so severe she had to relearn how to walk, climb stairs and cross the street.
